General Summary:

As an Assistant Store Manager at Family Dollar, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Your duties include maintaining inventory, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greeting and assisting customers positively, resolving inquiries and concerns.
• Maintaining a clean, well-stocked store with excellent customer service.
• Supervising, training, and developing Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store.
• Assisting in ordering merchandise, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supporting loss prevention efforts.
• Taking on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Following all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, and climbing.
• Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
