The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  2. Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…)
  3. Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.)
  4. Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on their training.
  5. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members.
  6. Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
  7. Ensure timely processing of buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders, and contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
  8. Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure.
  9. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issue refunds accurately, and handle returned merchandise appropriately.
  10. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before leaving the store.
  11. Communicate Zipline messages, delegate and complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
  12. Ensure team members comply with company policies, including adherence to posted work schedules, approved schedule changes, and proper clocking in/out.
  13. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day-end procedures, securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring security lights are on, locking doors, arming/disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles.
  14. Assist in maintaining the store building, parking lot, signage, lighting, hardware, equipment, and delivery vehicles.
  15. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, RSS Certification

Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
