Cumberland Farms is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences. This full-time position involves team management, operational excellence, and maintaining store standards. Ideal candidates will have retail experience and a passion for guest service, with opportunities for growth within the company.
Position Summary:

Assistant Managers support the Store Manager and other team members in delivering an outstanding guest shopping experience.
Responsibilities:
Working Relationships: Store team members, Store Manager, District Manager, and various Corporate personnel and vendors.
Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED.
Preferred Education: N/A
Minimum Experience: 1 year of retail or food service experience; completion of Assistant Manager Training program before assignment.
Preferred Experience: 1-2 years in retail, guest service, or restaurant management.
Preferred Licenses/Certifications and Skills: ServSafe / Food Safety certification is a plus but not mandatory.
Soft Skills:
Scheduling: Primarily second shifts, opposite the Store Manager, with availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Hours & Conditions: Full-time, up to 40 hours per week.
Travel: 5-10% for store coverage and meetings; ability to deliver deposits independently with own vehicle.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 40 pounds occasionally; stand/walk for 8 hours; work in cooler temperatures; perform reaching, bending, squatting, twisting, grasping, and gripping.
Other: Specialized attire (hats, visors, gloves) provided.
Desired previous job experience includes 2 years in retail or non-retail management, with a stable work history and proficient computer skills. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
