General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, store appearance, completing daily paperwork, and supporting loss prevention efforts.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greeting and assisting customers positively and resolving inquiries.
• Maintaining a clean, well-stocked store and providing excellent customer service.
• Supervising, training, and developing Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store.
• Assisting in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supporting loss prevention and managing responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Following all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Preferred experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore management.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, and climbing.
• Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
