Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Acts as Manager on Duty in the absence of Store Manager, performing all necessary functions for successful store operation.
• Executes weekly and seasonal merchandising plans for each department, ensuring price accuracy, to achieve sales goals. Manages inventory levels, CGO, and supply quantities to meet customer demands and gross profit goals. Oversees inventory processes.
• Drives engagement by communicating with customers and providing feedback and service results to associates. Trains and develops associates to resolve customer issues promptly. Conducts daily huddles to discuss priorities, goals, and updates.
• Reviews schedules of department managers and associates to meet business needs while achieving payroll and sales goals. Oversees work assignments, ensures compliance with labor laws, and manages performance through feedback and coaching.
• Oversees procedures for receiving, producing, and replenishing merchandise, including inspection, pricing, freshness, and quality control. Maintains necessary logs per company policy.
• Enforces cleanliness and sanitation standards, ensuring safe operation of equipment and compliance with OSHA. Ensures adherence to price accuracy and weights and measures laws.
• Implements training programs to enhance management and associate skills. Identifies and develops talent for advancement. Monitors competitor activity regarding merchandising and pricing.
• Performs store walks to identify successes and opportunities, providing direction and feedback, maintaining visibility and accessibility.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directs department managers and leads store performance. Oversees store operations in the absence of the store manager.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required, with at least 2 years of relevant retail experience. A degree in business or related field is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary ranges from $65,000 to $75,000. Benefits include health, dental, vision, FSA, disability, life insurance, 401(k), scholarships, discounts, insurance options, paid time off, and incentives.
