Job description

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role manages the store during the Store Manager’s absence or shift overlaps and leads team members in customer service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Lead the team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
2. Supervise customer service levels in the showroom, ensuring team members execute programs like Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.
3. Work with the store manager to staff the retail sales counter during peak hours.
4. Assist in setting team goals, providing feedback, coaching, and ensuring ongoing training.
5. Participate in hiring, including recruiting, interviewing, evaluating candidates, and collaborating on selections.
6. Ensure calls are answered per company policy.
7. Process online orders, transfers, and ship-to-store requests promptly, contacting customers as needed.
8. Manage special orders and outside purchases efficiently using electronic ledgers.
9. Handle returns and exchanges professionally, ensuring accurate refunds and proper merchandise processing.
10. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before leaving the store.
11. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
12. Ensure team compliance with policies, schedules, and clock-ins.
13. Perform opening/closing duties, including securing deposits, preparing bank deposits, and securing the store and delivery vehicles.
14. Assist in maintaining store facilities, signage, hardware, and vehicles.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:

• Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, RSS Certification
• Certified Parts Professional and ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages, with Spanish highly desired
