The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring outstanding customer service and regulatory compliance.

Job Description

Essential Duties:

  • Serve and educate customers on the product portfolio, presenting all options that meet their needs.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the store manager, District Director of Operations (DDO), or corporate office.
  • Answer inquiries via telephone regarding questions, applications, requests, or other issues.
  • Perform outbound calls for sales, courtesy, and collections in compliance with regulations and store policies.
  • Respond professionally to customers, explaining solutions and ensuring they feel supported.
  • Handle cash, manage cash drawers, process deposits, and perform cash handling duties.
  • Balance cash and sales reports daily, resolving discrepancies.
  • Verify customer information during transactions.
  • Process transactions accurately, including loans, check cashing, and Net Spend.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and company regulations and policies.
  • Complete required compliance training and quarterly certifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education And Experience:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Preferably 1+ year experience in sales, customer service, or cash handling.
  • Strong communication and active listening skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
  • Reliable personal transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance.

Physical Demands:

  • Work environment includes call center, retail, or office settings.
  • Extensive cash handling and long periods of standing.
  • Extended computer use and typing.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with accommodations.

Travel / Attendance:

  • Travel within district using personal vehicle.
  • Potential overnight travel.
  • Must work scheduled shifts.
