Job description

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all store operations, including employee management, customer service, and sales maximization. This role involves developing strategies to enhance store performance and profitability while fostering a positive environment for customers and staff. It is designed as a developmental position for aspiring Retail Store Managers.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting in recruiting, training, and retaining staff.
  2. Managing and developing team performance.
  3. Enhancing product knowledge and sales skills.
  4. Ensuring smooth store operations, including inventory and expense management.
  5. Providing excellent customer service and handling inquiries and complaints.
  6. Meeting sales and operational goals.
  7. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized store environment.
  8. Providing feedback and suggestions to improve store performance.
  9. Managing daily store operations, including staffing and inventory.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of store operations and basic math.
  • Minimum age of 21, high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and 12-hour shifts.
  • Physical ability to stand long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
