Position Overview

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Your duties will include maintaining inventory, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Greeting and assisting customers positively, resolving inquiries and concerns.
• Maintaining a clean, well-stocked store and providing excellent customer service.
• Supervising, training, and developing Store Associates on operating practices.
• Assisting with unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store.
• Supporting in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supporting loss prevention efforts and assuming management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Following all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Experience in retail management preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and 55 lbs occasionally, with physical activities like walking, standing, and lifting.
• Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
