Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Acts as Manager on Duty in the absence of Store Manager, performing all necessary functions for successful store operation.
2. Executes weekly and seasonal merchandising plans for each department, ensuring price accuracy, to achieve sales goals. Manages inventory levels, CGO, and supply quantities to meet customer demands and gross profit goals. Oversees physical inventory processes.
3. Drives engagement by communicating with customers, providing feedback, and training associates to resolve issues promptly. Conducts daily huddles with associates.
4. Reviews schedules of department managers and associates to meet business needs while achieving payroll and sales goals. Ensures compliance with labor laws and manages work assignments effectively.
5. Oversees procedures for receiving, producing, and replenishing merchandise, including inspection, pricing, freshness, and rotation. Maintains necessary logs per company policy.
6. Enforces housekeeping and sanitation standards, maintains safety compliance, and ensures adherence to price accuracy and legal standards.
7. Implements training programs, develops associates for advancement, manages performance, and monitors competitor activities.
8. Performs store walks to identify successes and opportunities, providing direction and feedback.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directs department managers and associates, oversees total store operations when the store manager is absent.

Qualification Requirements

High school diploma or GED required, with two years of relevant retail experience. Degree in business or related field desirable.

Rate Of Pay And Benefits

Starting at $65,000 up to $75,000 annually. Benefits include health plans, dental, vision, 401(k), insurance options, paid time off, incentives, and more.
