General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. This includes maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Greets and assists customers positively. Answers questions and resolves inquiries.
2. Maintains a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
3. Ensures the store is clean and well-stocked.
4. Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance.
5. Assists in unloading merchandise and organizing stock.
6. Helps in ordering merchandise and record-keeping, including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
7. Supports loss prevention efforts.
8. Assumes management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
9. Follows all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to interpret operational directives.
• Experience in retail management preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting up to 55 lbs., and to perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, etc.
• Flexible, full-time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
