As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. Your key responsibilities include assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations, maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greets and assists customers in a positive, approachable manner. Answers questions and resolves inquiries and concerns.
• Maintains a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
• Ensures the store is clean, well-stocked, and welcoming for customers.
• Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates on Family Dollar practices and procedures, under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Assists in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store.
• Helps in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and handling cash register deposits and receipts.
• Supports loss prevention efforts.
• Assumes management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to interpret operational directives such as merchandise schematics.
• Retail management experience preferred, in grocery, retail, or drugstore environments.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and up to 55 lbs occasionally, along with frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to work flexible, full-time hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, developing potential, results-driven, organizational, communication, problem-solving, job knowledge, and relationship management.
