Reports To: Store Manager

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will partner with your Store Manager to support store team members in achieving sales performance expectations through active coaching, development of a team selling environment, and operational excellence when you are the manager on duty. This includes working with your Store Manager to assist in recruiting, hiring, and training the store team members to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire store team to achieve their best performance
  • Execute strategies to maximize growth and potential
  • Create an engaged and inclusive store environment
  • Elevate the customer experience through operational excellence
  • Exceed customer expectations in all interactions

Leadership:

  • Assist in leading store staff to meet sales, service, and operational goals
  • Support in setting performance expectations and training staff
  • Lead by example, modeling company values and active coaching
  • Communicate priorities effectively to maximize business opportunities
  • Participate in recruiting and fostering an inclusive environment

Performance:

  • Support achievement of store business plans
  • Develop and follow up on sales strategies
  • Leverage data to inform decisions
  • Drive business outreach and lead generation
  • Identify performance issues and assist in developing improvement plans

Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure proper staffing and scheduling
  • Assist in training staff on operational functions
  • Stay informed on company policies and initiatives
  • Support implementation of store programs to increase efficiency

Workplace:

  • Contribute to an inclusive and engaged store culture
  • Support learning and development initiatives
  • Provide motivational leadership and serve as a role model
  • Assist in external talent recruitment
  • Conduct regular store meetings to communicate updates

Customer Experience:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years retail or sales experience

  • Proven team training and development ability
  • Proficient with technology, Microsoft Office, POS systems

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand, walk, bend, squat, lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, distinguish fabric patterns and colors
