Job summary

Goodwill of the Heartland is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Assistant Store Manager in Clinton, IA. This role supports the retail team to deliver exceptional customer service to shoppers and donors, while guiding members to maintain an attractive, well-merchandised store.

As an ASM, you will assist in training, completing documentation, and ensuring safety. A rotating schedule includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends based on store needs.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time employment in a related field.
• Former supervisory experience preferred.
• Availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts.
• Background screening required: valid Iowa driver’s license, auto insurance, MVR, and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Guide the store team to deliver excellent customer service and keep the store inviting and well-merchandised.
• Assist the Store Manager with training, documentation, and records keeping.
• Provide supervision in the Store Manager’s absence and help ensure team safety.

The position supports the retail team in providing excellent customer service to shoppers, donors, and team members. ASMs guide their team in how to maintain an attractive, inviting store, with neatly merchandised and reasonably priced products. This position will require one year of full-time employment in a related field, with former supervisory experience preferred.The ASM also assists the Store Manager in the training of team members, completing documentation and other records, and ensuring the safety of the team and Goodwill customers.
