Position Overview

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting in the daily operations of the store. Your duties include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork, under the guidance of the Store Manager.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Greeting and assisting customers positively, resolving inquiries and concerns.
• Maintaining a clean, well-stocked store environment.
• Supervising, training, and developing Store Associates on Family Dollar practices.
• Assisting with unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items.
• Supporting store operations including ordering, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Taking on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and up to 55 lbs occasionally, along with other physical activities.
• Flexible, full-time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills in customer service, organization, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
