General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations, maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Greets and assists customers positively, resolving inquiries and concerns.
2. Maintains a presence in the store to ensure excellent customer service.
3. Ensures the store is clean, well-stocked, and organized.
4. Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates under the Store Manager’s guidance.
5. Assists with unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store.
6. Supports ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
7. Supports loss prevention efforts.
8. Assumes management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
9. Follows all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and up to 55 lbs occasionally, along with standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Flexible availability for full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, developing potential, results-driven, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
