The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
- Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends).
- Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring, and ensuring ongoing training.
- Participate in the hiring process by recruiting, interviewing, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management for selecting qualified team members.
- Ensure telephone answering complies with company policy.
- Oversee timely processing of buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders, contacting customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
- Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger for handling special orders and outside purchases efficiently.
- Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, ensure refunds are accurate, and merchandise is correctly processed or staged.
- Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before leaving the store.
- Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
- Ensure team compliance with policies, including adherence to work schedules, approval of schedule changes, and proper clocking in/out.
- Perform store opening/closing duties, including day-end procedures, securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, and securing the premises.
- Assist in maintaining the store building, parking lot, signage, lighting, hardware, equipment, and delivery vehicles.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, RSS Certification
Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification, ASE Certification
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
