As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting in daily store operations, maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greets and assists customers positively, resolving inquiries and concerns.
• Maintains a presence in the store, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Ensures the store is clean and well-stocked.
• Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates under the Store Manager's direction.
• Assists in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store.
• Helps in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supports loss prevention efforts.
• Assumes management responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Experience in retail management preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting up to 55 lbs, and to perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, developing potential, results-driven, organizational, communication, problem-solving, job knowledge, relationship management.
