Job description

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is responsible for assisting the general manager with the management of day-to-day store operations, while adhering to Global Partners' policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Complete daily accounting paperwork and transmit it by deadline.
  • Supervise, develop, train, and discipline hourly employees, ensuring operational standards are maintained.
  • Monitor shift cash handling and inventory; assist in investigations of shortages/overages and inventory variations within specified limits.
  • Maintain business records, review cashier accountability, and adhere to company policies.
  • Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties as needed, following cash control policies.
  • Manage cash procedures, including deposits and change orders.
  • Maintain store standards, cleanliness, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure store security and safety, report issues promptly.
  • Coordinate gasoline levels and deliveries.
  • Participate in promotional initiatives and promote high guest service levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in various temperatures and physical conditions, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
