Job summary

Shoe Sensation, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead the store team, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer service to our shoppers. You will greet customers, coach associates, manage daily operations, and help recruit and train the sales team to promote internal growth.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and have personal transportation to take deposits to the bank.
• Willing to teach others how to sell and learn how to be a people manager.
• Willing to open/close the store, knowing there may be times you are alone in the store.
• Willing and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Can kneel, twist, bend, climb a ladder, reach, stoop and lift 25–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet our customers and guide them through their shopping experience.
• Sell shoes, apparel, and accessories to customers.
• Ring up sales in computer, take cash/run credit cards/do discounts, etc.
• Help re-stock the sales floor.
• Keep things neat and clean in the store.
• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and training the store sales team.
• Assist with coaching and discipline of the store sales team.
• Lead the rest of the team to ensure the best customer sales experience.
• Prepare deposit and make deposits at the bank.
• Process freight and set the sales floor as it arrives.
