Job summary

Foot Locker, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Gainesville, FL to lead with energy and ownership, supporting the Store Manager in driving sales and coaching the team toward a great customer experience.

ASMs are hands-on leaders who stay connected with customers and teammates, ensuring store standards, operations, and safety are upheld while delivering strong store performance.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership role.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with energy and solutions.
• Coach the team to deliver great service and keep customers excited to shop.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged and helping close the loop with customers.
• Manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Maintain store standards and protect customers, teammates, and product.
