Job Responsibilities:

Learn all store departments and assist in store management duties, including scheduling, security, maintenance, safety, sanitation, ordering, administration, and HR tasks. Demonstrate core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

  • Support store manager and associates in delivering excellent customer service and developing customer relations.
  • Assist in planning and executing merchandising and operational initiatives.
  • Help develop action plans based on survey results and store opportunities.
  • Manage store operations in the absence of the store manager.
  • Achieve sales, wage, profit, safety, and shrink goals.
  • Drive sales and profits by collaborating with department managers.
  • Participate in financial performance discussions and budget development.
  • Promote inclusive leadership and community engagement.
  • Build relationships with union reps and local organizations.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and serve as a liaison with district managers.
  • Assist in staffing, reducing turnover, and increasing retention.
  • Provide performance feedback and manage labor and supply costs.
  • Ensure legal and company policy compliance.
  • Supervise and coach team members, conducting performance reviews.
