Assistant Store Leader (Finance)


Learn the operations of all departments and the duties of store management; share responsibility for store performance in all areas of operation/human resources. Perform scheduling, security, maintenance, safety, sanitation, ordering, administration & Human Resource-related duties. Minimum requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • At least 1 year of experience as a department or service manager or equivalent
  • Approval from store or district manager

Preferred qualifications:

  • Retail management experience and knowledge of store operations
  • Experience supervising staff

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in providing excellent customer service and developing staff interest in customer relations
  • Supporting store management in planning and executing merchandising and operational initiatives
  • Analyzing store opportunities and developing action plans for improvement
  • Modeling high customer service standards and resolving issues
  • Managing store operations in the absence of the store manager
  • Achieving sales, wage, profit, safety, and shrinkage targets
  • Driving sales and profits while reducing shrinkage
  • Participating in financial discussions and budget development with staff
  • Promoting inclusive leadership and community engagement
  • Collaborating with union representatives where applicable
  • Communicating effectively with staff and management
  • Assisting in staffing, retention, and performance management
  • Ensuring legal and company policy compliance
  • Supervising and coaching team members
