Assistant Store Leader (Finance)



Learn the operations of all departments and the duties of store management; share responsibility for store performance in all areas of operation and human resources. Perform scheduling, security, maintenance, safety, sanitation, ordering, administration, and Human Resource-related duties. Minimum requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of experience as a department manager, service manager, or similar role
  • Approval from store or district manager

Preferred qualifications:

  • Retail management experience and comprehensive knowledge of store operations
  • Experience supervising staff

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting store manager and staff to ensure a positive customer shopping experience and fostering a focus on customer service.
  • Assisting in planning, implementing, and executing merchandising and operational initiatives.
  • Developing action plans based on survey results and store opportunities.
  • Modeling and demanding high levels of customer service and resolving issues effectively.
  • Managing store operations in the absence of the store manager.
  • Achieving sales, wage, profit, safety, and shrinkage goals.
  • Driving sales and profits through department collaboration and operational improvements.
  • Engaging in financial performance discussions and budget development.
  • Analyzing competitive landscape and promoting inclusionary leadership.
  • Ensuring compliance with laws and policies, supervising staff, and providing performance feedback.
