CSMIU is a felony trial unit designed to work closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies toward a common goal of reducing violent crime generators through criminal intelligence, community outreach and law enforcement partnerships. This position is non‑supervisory.
Applicants must have a juris doctor degree and be licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland. Applicants must have a working knowledge, or ability to become knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook, Judicial Dialog, Google Earth. Working knowledge of ArcGIS is a plus. Applicants should be well organized and self‑motivated. Must have ability to communicate well in front of BPD command staff, federal partners such as the Drug Enforcement Agency/Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms/US Attorney’s Office, and like agencies and organizations.
