A Cold Case Homicide ASA performs progressively responsible legal work for the Office of the State’s Attorney for Baltimore City involving preparing and litigating cold case homicide cases of varying complexity. Work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities.
Employees in this class may be required to work during off hours to include the middle of the night and weekends. Occasional travel, both intrastate and interstate, will be required for this position. Work is primarily performed in an office where normal working conditions are encountered. The work requires minimal physical exertion.
Graduation from an accredited law school and admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland. Applicants must have tried at least ten homicide cases to verdict.
The applicant is required to pass a criminal background investigation, which includes fingerprinting.
