  • Perform other duties as assigned by the State’s Attorney.

Position Summary

The Clinton County State’s Attorney’s Office is seeking an attorney to serve as an Assistant State’s Attorney. The position involves prosecuting a variety of criminal matters, substantial courtroom experience, and independently managing an assigned caseload with limited supervision. Responsibilities include:
  • Review, evaluate, and prosecute a variety of criminal cases with a focus on juvenile (JA and JD) cases.
  • Prepare for and conduct hearings and trials
  • Prepare charging documents, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and apply Illinois law.
