University of California - San Francisco is seeking an Assistant Specialist - Ha lab to support tissue collection from operative specimens and clinical biopsies. You will identify potential patients, obtain consents, and collaborate with pathology and surgical teams to collect tissue under various protocols.
The role also involves wet and dry lab research focused on head and neck cancer, with duties and organization support in the lab as needed.

The position will be utilized to help augment our current tissue collections protocols from the operative specimens and in clinical biopsies. The Specialist will need to be able to identify potential patients, perform consents, and work with the pathology and surgical teams to successfully collect tissue under a number of different protocols.
The individual will also spend time performing research, both wet and dry lab, focused on head and neck cancer. The Specialist may need to help with lab duties and organization as well.
See Table 24B for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $65,800 - $73,200.
