The Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock is seeking an Assistant Spa Director. This luxurious property is surrounded by Sedona’s famous red rocks and is less than a mile from the village of Oak Creek. This is an outstanding opportunity for an aspiring resort spa professional to advance their career and expertise with a world-class facility, mentor, and company.

What will I be doing?

The Assistant Director manages the daily activities of the Spa and Fitness Center. They oversee all aspects of the department including coaching and training staff, monitoring facilities with the assistance of Engineering and Housekeeping, coordinating daily schedules for massages, treatments, and fitness classes. They collaborate with the Director of Spa to create spa menus and maintain a tasteful environment, stay aware of current spa market trends, and sell spa retail creatively and successfully. Additionally, they will handle any other requests related to spa and activities duties.

Specific duties and qualifications include:

  • Oversee daily operations of the spa, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients.
  • Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
  • Answer phone calls, set appointments, and greet clients upon arrival.
  • Drive service and retail sales by educating clients on products and services.
  • Maintain a professional and impeccable spa environment for staff and clients.
  • Work nights and weekends as required.
  • Have knowledge and experience in business, supervision, and management.
  • Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal relationship-building, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Preferably have work experience in a team-oriented workplace.
  • Possess knowledge of basic economics.
  • Ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to management.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational skills.
  • Plan, evaluate, and improve business processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and output.
  • Maintain and restock inventory.
  • Experience with Book4time and Hilton brand standards is highly desirable.

What are we looking for?

  • At least 2 years of spa leadership experience overseeing spa and/or fitness operations.
  • Open availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience with Book4Time and Unifocus preferred.
  • Hotel industry experience is a plus.
