Job summary

Lands’ End is seeking an Assistant Sourcing Manager to support product management, time and action calendars, cost negotiations and vendor communications. You will partner with the Associate Sourcing Manager on seasonal recaps, flow plans and lead times to optimize orders and reorders.

Required is a Bachelor's degree in Apparel/Retail Merchandising or related field and 0–2 years in product management or sourcing, with strong analytical and communication skills and proficiency in Excel.

• 0–2 years’ experience in product management and sourcing.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; highly organized and able to prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Associate Manager on seasonal Sourcing recaps, flow plans, costing information and vendor placements.
• Assist in lead times to maximize flexibility and speed for initial orders and reorders.
• Analyze costs based on corporate cost direction and support production timelines to meet delivery deadlines.
• Review development timelines to support production schedules and calendar milestones.
• Review and resolve delivery and production issues with merchants and designers as they arise.
• Monitor proto yardage, fabric development and CAD development tracking; maintain development charts.

As an Assistant Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for partnering with the Associate Sourcing Manager to assist with the product management of programs including time and action calendars, cost and cost negotiations, and vendor communication.

• Partner with Associate Manager on seasonal Sourcing recaps, flow plans, costing information and vendor placements.
• Work closely and supports Associate Manager on lead times to maximize flexibility and speed for initial orders and reorders.
• Assist in analyzing costs based on corporate cost direction.
• Assists in reviewing development timelines to support production schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
• Reviews and solves delivery and production issues/options with merchants/designers as they arise.
• Monitor and track, Proto, line adoption and photo samples to calendar milestones dates and all sample, fabric, and CAD development tracking.
• Fabric / Trim Development - send out counter developments to vendors and track all submits and review with Management.
• Communicate and follow up with vendors, mills and cross functional partners daily.
• Update product development and production data as required.
• Secure Proto yardage and maintain fabric development chart.
• Attend Weekly Omni Meetings
• Bachelor's Degree in Apparel/Retail Merchandising, Supply Chain, Business, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum of 0-2 years’ experience in product management and sourcing.
• Ability to problem solve, prioritize and work independently.
• Strong Analytical skills.
