Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications in production environments.
• Strong experience with modern software development practices and Agile delivery.
• Proven ability to mentor teammates, lead technical discussions, or influence engineering decisions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Interest in developing leadership and team management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering leadership to support team delivery and execution.

Insight Global is looking for a technically strong software engineer who is interested in growing into engineering leadership while remaining hands‑on with architecture, design, and software development. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring teammates, influencing technical decisions, and taking ownership of delivery, but may not yet have formal management experience.

As an Assistant Engineering Manager, you'll work closely with engineering leadership to help guide a team responsible for building, enhancing, and supporting enterprise software applications. You'll have the opportunity to develop leadership skills while continuing to stay close to the technology.
