Job summary

Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, TN is seeking an Assistant Coach Softball to support the operation of the program, assist with student-athlete recruitment and retention, and help ensure academic progress toward graduation or transfer.

Reporting to the Head Coach, you will help with practices, conditioning, game scheduling, budgeting, fundraising, and compliance with NJCAA and TCCAA rules while promoting the College in the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• One year of coaching experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating the softball program and recruitment efforts.
• Support academic progress and graduation through advising coordination.
• Coordinate practices, conditioning, and game scheduling.
• Develop and oversee program budget and equipment needs; assist with fundraising.
• Ensure compliance with NJCAA and TCCAA rules and support athletics department objectives.
