Job summary

Tuskegee University is seeking an Assistant Softball Coach to support the Head Softball Coach in all facets of a Division II program. The role emphasizes organization, development, and leadership within a highly competitive athletic program.

The successful candidate will guide players in rules, techniques, and teamwork, coordinate practices, and help recruit qualified student-athletes while upholding NCAA and conference regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
• Three or more years of coaching experience at a high school or collegiate level.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university

Physical Demands

• May involve frequent bending, moving, lifting and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Requires standing for at least 4 hours each day and working in all weather conditions
• Exposure to high noise levels
• Additional physical demands include, but not limited to physical involvement in all practices and workouts with players

Skills and Attributes

• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations pertaining to the recruitment and retention of student-athletes
• Individual and team skills with the ability to teach these skills
• Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills
• Travel extensively
