Meridian Health Services is seeking a part-time Assistant Social Worker for the inpatient psychiatric team at River Bend Hospital in West Lafayette, IN. The role supports weekday 11a–7p and weekend 10a–6p shifts for a total of 25 hours weekly.

The candidate will assist in treatment planning, psychosocial assessments, and both individual and group therapy, utilizing EMR systems and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
• Experience working with persons with developmental and/or mental health challenges is preferred.

Meridian Health Services is currently seeking a part-time Assistant Social Worker for our multidisciplinary inpatient psychiatric team located at River Bend Hospital, in West Lafayette, IN. This role will work to work weekdays between 11a-7p, and weekends between 10a and 6p for a total of 25 hours weekly. The successful candidate effectively communicates (verbally and in writing) with clients, members of the treatment team, social service agencies, care providers, families, and others; utilizes available technology to communicate efficiently and provide for the protection and care of the individual; is able to use skills to de‑escalate agitated persons; is able to understand and tolerate constructive criticism and accept input from many different team members.

Assistant Social Worker Key Responsibilities:

• Assists Social Worker or Therapist in developing and writing treatment plans.
