YMCA of the East Bay is seeking an Assistant Site Coordinator to support the Expanded Learning Program in Richmond, California. You will work closely with the Site Coordinator to supervise children, plan activities, maintain attendance records, and ensure a safe, positive environment after school.
Responsibilities include assisting with staff trainings, developing monthly activity calendars, coordinating with families, and upholding licensing standards.

We are seeking staff for our Expanded Learning Program. The hours immediately after school can be hugely impactful for kids, and our ELP staff provide meaningful enrichment programs to strengthen their academic, physical, and social‑emotional growth. Successful team members are able to increase family engagement to support student learning, and bridge the communication between the school day and afterschool for families.
These general functions will be carried out in keeping with the Goals, Policies and Mission of the YMCA of the East Bay. The Assistant Site Coordinator works closely with the Site Coordinator to ensure the proper supervision of children and is responsible for planning and implementing a variety of recreational and educational activities which supports the children’s learning and promotes self-esteem in small group settings. This person shares with the Site Coordinator the responsibility for opening and/or closing the Program; assists with all attendance and data collection, supervises other staff in the absence of the Site Coordinator. In the absence of the Site Coordinator, the Assistant Site Coordinator is responsible for the smooth operation of the after school program.
