Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change in the United States is hiring an Assistant Shop Manager who is career-minded, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in doing things the right way. You will help lead a fast-paced team, support the Shop Manager with daily operations, and ensure a safe, efficient, high-quality service experience.

We provide paid, hands-on training to teach the Take 5 way. Automotive experience is valued but not required, and you’ll have opportunities to grow from shop roles into leadership

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum 6 months' experience leading or mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Complete our Certified Technician training.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and resolve concerns professionally.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while reinforcing procedures, safety requirements, and service standards.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and take on leadership responsibilities when the Shop Manager is unavailable.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Perform all Certified Technician and Lead Technician responsibilities.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and adjustments.
• Support shop communication, reporting, and operational follow-up.
