Responsibilities

• Check in with customers before they leave the shop to ensure a great experience.
• Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in the manager’s absence.
• Run the floor, manage employees, verify vehicle checks, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with counting and adjusting inventory.
• Provide training and development to subordinates.
• Serve as a role model to other employees in the shop.
• Hold team members accountable.
• Perform technician duties including: drain motor oil, change oil filter, grease chassis fittings, wash windshield, adjust tire pressure, inspect and top off fluids, assist customers with selecting oil type and other services, deliver excellent customer service verbally and in writing, process payments, perform coolant exchanges and fill services, restock and maintain inventory levels, and maintain shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of oils and automotive services.
• Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit under cars.
• Capacity to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in hot and cold weather conditions.
• Strong situational awareness and alertness.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication skills with the public.
• Reliable transportation.
• Full‑time availability.
• Salary range: $14.00 - $21.00 per hour.
