Aviagen Turkeys Inc. is hiring an Assistant Setup Crew Lead to help prepare rear farms for new flocks. The role involves installing and testing equipment, inspecting barns, and supporting Farm Leads and Setup Crew Leads to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

Travel between farm locations may be required; a focus on safety, sanitation, and animal welfare is essential. You will contribute to timely flock readiness and uphold company standards in a dynamic farm environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle moderate to physical work.
• Must be able to complete repetitive work and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.
• Must be able to perform tasks with limited supervision.
• Proven reliability in work attendance and willingness to give best effort.
• Must have own reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing rear farms for the arrival of new flocks.
• Set up, position, and test farm equipment, including feeders, drinkers, brooders, barriers, and other required equipment.
• Help inspect barns and equipment to identify maintenance or setup needs.
• Assist Farm Leads and Setup Crew Leads with completing assigned farm-preparation tasks.
• Provide guidance and support to setup crew members as directed by the Setup Crew Lead.
• Travel between farm locations as needed to support setup activities.
• Perform other farm-setup and operational duties as assigned.
