Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to gain hands-on experience in one of its Auto Service centers by connecting with guests and delivering outstanding service. You will help schedule associates, manage service appointments, and organize workflow to ensure quality work on time.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in an Automotive Service department, valid driver's license, and legal work authorization in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of previous Automotive Service department experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• No relocation is being offered for this position.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Previous automotive service sales experience is preferred.

• Drive and reach sales goals through guest interactions including tire and service sales.
• Build guest relationships and ensure guest satisfaction through liaison between technicians and guests.
• Effectively manage the service department as needed.
• Contribute to training and development of service department associates.
• Articulate all warranties, promotions, and advertisements.
• Utilize tools provided to make recommendations to guests based on manufacturing guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work and guest area.
• Perform a variety of manual tasks including lifting tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.

As an Assistant Service Manager, you will gain hands‑on experience in one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers by making meaningful connections with guests while delivering outstanding service. You will also become familiar with managing the service department effectively by scheduling associates, service appointments and organizing work flow to deliver quality work on time to guest. • Effectively manage the service department as needed

• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including consumer tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of previous Automotive Service department experience
• Valid driver's license
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• No relocation is being offered for this position
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
