Position Summary

Support the service and tire team under the direction of the Manager, Store Service. Assist in driving sales across service labor, parts, tires, and fleet business. Provide essential selling and task support by partnering with management to ensure the service repair business is organized, store operations run efficiently, and shop productivity is maintained to company standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in customer care, work order and register assistance, facility maintenance, and merchandising activities, including tire stocking, under the direction of the Store Manager of Service.
• Follow policies related to POS transactions, inventory, logistics, cash handling, refunds, and vendor payments.
• Address customer service issues and business opportunities in collaboration with management.
• Drive sales goals through personal engagement and coaching of service advisors.
• Support training and coaching of service staff on customer care, CVIs, and store systems.
• Monitor shop productivity, workflow, and safety, assisting with daily back shop operations.
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment compliant with laws and policies.
• Communicate effectively with staff, management, and customers.
• Act as primary supervisor in management's absence, overseeing operational activities.
• Handle opening and closing responsibilities as a key holder.
• Maintain an organized, clean shop environment.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety, and environmental rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in an automotive service environment.
• Preferred: automotive service sales experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Basic math skills for calculating commissions and discounts.
• Experience as a work lead or supervisor.
• Judgment, independence, and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to handle difficult customers and utilize up-sell techniques.
• Strong cash handling and POS skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Reliability, accuracy, and follow-through.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, stand and walk for long periods, reach overhead, squat, bend, and climb ladders. Effective communication and computer skills are required. Safe operation of a motor vehicle is necessary.
