Company Wrench in Lakeland, FL is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to lead the service shop at a specific branch. You will supervise service personnel and report to the Service Branch Development Manager, ensuring efficient operations and excellent customer communication.

Responsibilities include managing the Work Order process, developing quotes within 48 hours, scheduling technicians, and monitoring WIP and warranty procedures to drive service revenue and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; diesel/technical/college degree preferred.
• 3 years heavy equipment/service operations experience preferred.
• 1+ year dispatching technicians or field service experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and leadership skills.
• Pass drug test and background check.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supervise service personnel in collaboration with the Service Manager.
• Provide customers with timely updates on conditions, timelines, quotes, and part lead times.
• Ensure all work orders, services, parts, and fees are accurately billed and explainer justified.
• Assist in developing plans to grow service revenue through new work.
• Schedule technicians for optimal efficiency.
• Provide accurate quotes within 48 hours.
• Monitor Work In Progress (WIP) and warranty procedures.

We are an expanding dealership looking for an Assistant Service Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Service Branch Development Manager, this position is responsible for the management and supervision of all functions within the service repair shop for a specific branch.

Qualifications

• Be a champion of Safety
• Provide customers with updates as conditions, timelines, issues, quotes, part lead times, etc. change or arise
• Ensure all services, parts, and fees billed on Work Orders (WO) can be clearly explained and justified
• Assist in developing and acting on plans for acquiring new and additional existing customer service work to drive revenue
• Assist the service manager in recruiting, hiring, and training of all service department employees
• Manage the Work Order (WO) process from opening through invoicing
• Schedule technicians for work with optimal efficiencies in mind
• Provide accurate quotes for service work are provided to customers within 48 hours.
• Assist in monitoring and controlling Work In Progress (WIP) to limit WIP
• Ensure all Manufacture Warranty procedures are followed and understood, such as warranty pictures, documentation, etc.
• Provide direction and leadership required to achieve professional technical services
• Assist with monitoring performance standards and measurements and develop means to do so as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibility – In collaboration with the Service Manager, this position assists in supervising service personnel

Knowledge, Skills, And Qualifications

• High School Diploma; Diesel, Technical, or College Degree preferred
• Three years of experience in heavy, industrial, or over the road equipment service operations preferred
• Minimum of one-year experience dispatching technicians or working as a field service technician preferred
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Must be able to pass drug test and background check.
