Job Description: Responsible for assisting the Service Manager/Service Advisor in the effective operation of the service center, including sales, productivity, and profitability.

Job Duties:

  • Assist Service Manager in the daily operation of the service department
  • Ensure customer service standards and satisfaction programs are met
  • Maintain facilities in compliance with security, safety, and environmental codes
  • Ensure compliance with the service Code of Ethics and all regulations
  • Communicate professionally and promptly with customers
  • Perform other functions as required by the Service Manager

Job Summary:

The Assistant Service Manager is responsible for selling, identifying, and documenting service, maintenance, and repair services for customers, as well as scheduling services.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers and technicians to identify required maintenance
  • Perform road tests of customer vehicles
  • Advise customers on necessary or suggested services
  • Offer additional services and repairs to customers
  • Calculate costs for parts and labor to restore vehicles per customer specifications
  • Estimate costs of repairs
  • Enter estimates on service orders and explain them to customers
  • Schedule customer appointments
  • Maintain CSI standards
  • Meet dealership standards for repair and order production
  • Follow safety and regulatory guidelines

Requirements:

  • Dealership experience required
  • Honda experience preferred
  • Proven track record of success
  • Strong positive CSI results
  • Team-oriented attitude
  • Must pass MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
