Coast Property Management in Bellingham, WA is seeking an Assistant Self-Storage Facility Manager to support daily facility operations, show units, process applications, collect rents, and assist with leasing and maintenance.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, customer-focused, with strong communication, detail orientation, basic computer skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent service.

• Demonstrated integrity on personal as well as professional level.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Ability to interact with a wide range of people.
• Ability to solve problems involving residents, personnel, finances, equipment failure, emergency situations, etc.
• Ability and willingness to substitute for any leasing responsibility, unit cleaning, grounds pick-up, receptionist, and other work as may be reasonably directed by the Property Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining relationships with all residents, ensuring consistent application of property policies.
• Show units and run applications for screening;
• Assists in supervising the Leasing Staff and Maintenance Personnel, if appropriate;
• Visits competitive properties and assists in preparation of regular market surveys;
• Assists in preparation of weekly and monthly reports;
• Review rental applications and lease forms for accuracy and compliance with resident policy;
• Assists residents with lease forms;
• Make recommendations to improve marketing and leasing programs;
• Log appropriate accounting transactions as they take place;
• Accept screening fees;
• Answer the phone and take messages;
• Collect rent, post and deposit as directed.
