Eurofins Agroscience Services is hiring an Assistant Scientist in Hercules, CA. This entry-level role includes training to perform basic analytical work under GLP guidelines, contributing to study monitoring and data reporting.

Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field, strong organizational and communication skills, and be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Some prior lab exposure is preferred.

Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for an Assistant Scientist to join our team in Hercules, CA. This is an entry level position that includes the training you will need to be successful. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Job Description

Assistant Scientist responsibilities include the following:

• Completes work for research and development under GLP guidelines for studies, documentation, etc.
• Assists in conducting, monitoring and reporting studies to ensure data accuracy and report quality.
• Provides basic analytical work on projects and studies using a range of analytical techniques and instruments.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Preferred skills - HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering, or other directly related field or degree with comparable coursework in the above areas.
• In rare cases, comparable demonstrated competence and experience in the relevant area may be used to substitute in whole or in part for the Bachelor's degree.
• Familiarity and/or experience n a laboratory setting.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with overtime required as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Hercules, CAare encouraged to apply. Compensation: $23.50 per hour.
