Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services seeks a Scientist to join the Routine Testing team in San Diego, CA. This intermediate-level role performs analytical work under cGMP/GLP guidelines, contributing to study conduction, monitoring and reporting with data integrity in mind.

The ideal candidate has experience with chromatographic and electrophoretic techniques, proficiency in HPLC/UPLC, LC/MS, CE, icIEF and related instruments, plus familiarity with LIMS and data review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/biochemistry/biology or related field with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree may substitute for bachelor’s degree and experience.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Complete day-to-day lab activities under cGMP/GLP guidelines.
• Assist in conducting, monitoring and reporting studies to ensure data accuracy.
• Provide analytical work using a range of techniques and instruments.
• Work with increasing independence on studies and assignments.

Job Description

Eurofins BPT- Advantar is looking for aScientistto join our Routine Testing teamlocated in San Diego, CA. This position is an intermediate-level professional position involved in somewhat complex day-to-day activities in a laboratory setting under prescribed processes (protocols, standard operating procedures, methods, etc.).Responsibilities include completing work under cGMP and/or GLP guidelines for studies, documentation, etc. Assisting in conducting, monitoring and reporting studies to ensure data accuracy and report quality. Providing somewhat complex analytical work on projects and studies using a range of analytical techniques and instruments. Working with increasing independence on studies and assignments.

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Experience in Biochemistry analytical techniques, both chromatographic and electrophoretic in a GMP environment.
• Demonstrated technical experience running HPLC/UPLC, LC/MS, CE, icIEF, Karl Fisher, UV/Vis, and/or SoloVPE instruments
• Experience with LIMS system desirable.
• Experience assisting with peer reviewing data
• Comfortability working with multiple software systems and Excel
• A highly motivated staff member that is willing to work on a team, and willing to work with others to teach and learn new skills.
• Good organizational skills; ability to follow directions and good communication skills are required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degreein relevant field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering,
  sciences, or other directly related field or degree with comparable coursework in the above areas and aminimum of two years of experiencein a directly relevant or demonstrated comparable competency and skill attainment is required.
• A Master’s degree in a relevant field may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree and experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of San Diego, CA are encouraged to apply.

Pay range is $27.5/h to $32.5/h depending on experience.
