Job summary

Children of America is seeking an Assistant School Director to lead and grow a dedicated team of early childhood educators. You will work closely with the School Director and regional leadership to influence school performance, support families, and gain hands-on operations experience.

This leadership role offers a pathway toward a School Director position, with opportunities for professional development and internal advancement within COA.

Compensation & Incentives

$50,000-$60,000 base salary + variable pay incentives

What Makes a Great COA Assistant School Director?

• Has 2-4 years of leadership experience
• Has at least 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare/early childhood setting
• Has an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, as required by the state
• Is confident leading, coaching, and motivating a team
• Builds strong relationships with teachers, families, and leadership
• Is organized, proactive, and comfortable making decisions
• Can handle challenges with professionalism and a solutions‑focused mindset
• Has a strong understanding of early childhood education
• Is committed to professional development and continued growth
• Meets all applicable state licensing requirements
