Job summary

Lunula is a neighborhood nail salon in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, focused on thoughtful nail care and genuine hospitality. We are seeking a Front Desk Lead/Assistant Manager to welcome guests and keep operations smooth.

You will manage appointments, assist with guest outreach, support the technician team, monitor supplies, and help lead promotional efforts while growing into greater leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in front desk or guest service is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to manage schedules, appointments and staff coordination.

What You'll Do

• Welcome guests and create a warm, professional experience. Handle guest concerns calmly and thoughtfully
• Manage appointments, calls, checkout and daily schedule changes. Keep the schedule and front desk running smoothly
• Support rebooking, guest outreach and cancellation follow-up
• Communicate with and support the technician team. Help keep the team productive and engaged during quieter periods
• Monitor inventory, supplies and salon presentation
• Support promotions, content and salon projects
• Take initiative and make sure important details don't fall through the cracks

• Strong communicator with excellent follow-through.
• Calm and solutions-oriented when problems arise. Comfortable taking responsibility and respectfully giving direction
• Interested in learning, contributing and growing into greater responsibility (e.g., marketing, management)
• Hospitality, salon/spa, retail, restaurant, healthcare or other guest-facing experience is a plus. Previous salon experience is helpful but not required.
