Job summary

Sun Tan City is seeking an Assistant Salon Director to maintain a high-energy, positive environment and drive store performance. You will supervise Tanning Consultants, coach staff, and lead by example to deliver exceptional client experiences while meeting productivity goals.

The role focuses on coaching, daily supervision, and ensuring a clean, professional salon. Flexibility for nights and weekends is expected to provide comprehensive management coverage.

Qualifications

• College education preferred, but not required.
• Management and/or Sales experience required.
• Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple situations.
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
• Strong leadership with coaching/mentoring abilities.
• Team-building skills.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead by example to create a client-centric experience and meet sales expectations.
• Maintain a professional and clean salon environment.
• Establish clear goals/objectives for Team Members.
• Coach, train, and give feedback to improve daily performance.
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with Director functions.
• Help manage top line revenue and expenses.
• Maintain staffing levels for productivity and service while controlling labor costs.
• Work nights and weekends as required for coverage.
• Ensure reliable transportation to bank as needed.
• Work five days per week, about 40–45 hours depending on status.
