Sun Tan City in Sioux City, IA seeks an Assistant Salon Director to maintain a high-energy, client-centric environment and drive store performance. You will supervise Tanning Consultants, coach the team, and ensure exceptional service while meeting productivity goals.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily salon operations, coaching staff, maintaining a clean environment, and helping manage revenue and expenses. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• College education preferred, but not required.
• Management and/or Sales experience required.
• Basic computer skills with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment and supervise others.
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Problem-solving and organizational planning skills.
• Strong leadership with coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Team building and delegation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced setting.
• Lead by example to create a client-centric experience and meet sales targets.
• Maintain a professional, clean salon environment.
• Set goals for team members and provide coaching and feedback.
• Generate sales reports, manage inventory, and support salon leadership.
• Help maintain revenue and manage expenses while controlling labor costs.
• Ensure staffing levels meet productivity and service standards.
• Work nights and weekends as needed; hours approx. 40–45 per week.
