Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and staff management
• Lead and motivate sales team members to achieve individual and team sales goals through effective training and coaching
• Manage employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and onboarding processes to build a strong team
• Supervise shift management, cashiering, POS operations, and customer service interactions to ensure a seamless shopping experience
• Oversee merchandising, stocking, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to maximize sales potential
• Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and basic budgeting responsibilities
• Maintain inventory management systems and ensure accurate inventory control and loss prevention measures
• Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing clientele
• Ensure compliance with company policies regarding cash handling, safety procedures, and store standards
• Foster a positive work environment by providing leadership in training & development programs and performance evaluations
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers using excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills

Qualifications

• Proven experience in assistant management or supervisory roles within retail sales or grocery stores
• Strong knowledge of retail math, pricing strategies, sales management, inventory management, and POS systems
